Scope
Quality of Life Journal is a peer-reviewed journal which was founded in 1990. The journal, with four issues per year, is the only one in Central and Eastern Europe dedicated to both quality of life and social policy. Quality of Life Journal is aimed for the world of academia as well as for policy makers.

The articles - theoretical, empirical, and methodological - cover the fields of quality of life and social policy as well as related research. Topics include life standard, consumption patterns, employment, health, housing, environment, education, social services, family and social relationships, leisure, life styles, subjective well-being etc. Many studies focus on policy analysis and evaluation, seeking to contribute to solving social issues and shaping social policy. The journal is indented to be a high level scientific forum debating on the current problems of society.

Quality of Life Journal publishes articles in Romanian and English languages and complies with the international editorial conventions. All articles are rigorously evaluated and peer-reviewed by two independent, anonymous reviewers.

Call for Papers: ‘Social and Solidarity Economy – challenges and perspectives for sustainable development’, special issue of Quality of Life Journal, Volume 1, 2020

Quality of Life Journal (www.revistacalitateavietii.ro) seeks articles for a special issue on social and solidarity economy, to be published on February 2020. The main purpose of this special issue is to approach and discuss about social and solidarity economy in terms of opportunities and constrains for development.

This special issue edition on social and solidarity economy aims at gathering research papers or critical theoretical analysis on topics as: social economy and sustainable development goals, practices of different social economy organizations, social economy and social innovation, social economy and local development, social impact evaluation of social economy initiatives, social economy eco-system etc.

We invite researchers to submit original papers on their early stage, ongoing or completed studies that are focused on social and solidarity economy topics.

The editors kindly request authors to send papers (4,000 – 8,000 words in length), except references, together with an abstract of no more than 200 words, to the following address: redactia@revistacalitateavietii.ro until 30 November, 2019. All the papers will be evaluated through the double-blind peer-review process following the journal’s standard procedures.
